This binder is great for me. It’s very comfortable and has a stretch to it that is soft and easy or it can be stretched harder. Comfortable and supportive
I recently had abdominal surgery and the hospital sent me home with an abdominal binder that was about 12 inches wide. I’m a bit short waisted, and it was a constant battle to keep that binder in place…it constantly worked it’s way up and the plastic “struts” inside it gouged me. Talking with the surgical nurse, she suggested that I look for a narrower binder, and I found this one. I’ve been wearing it for three weeks now…wish I’d had it from the start. It is much more comfortable, but, it does still ride up sometimes.I really do like it as it is easy to adjust. But, there are a couple of things that I am not as keen on. My original binder was one piece of elasticized fabric and it didn’t ‘bend”. This one is also one piece, but, the fabric is sort of in “channels” which allows it to bend or fold. It’s not a big deal, but I would prefer it if it didn’t do that. Also, the Velcro “hooks” are sharp! I have to be very careful in placing them as they do scratch my skin. I’ve been wearing a cotton camisole under the binder and that has solved the scratching problem. Overall, it’s been a good purchase. It seems to be very good quality. I’m 5’5″ and about 200 pounds and the XL fits me perfectly.

Used this binder for post-op Hernia repair. This 6.25″ size was better for me than the wide 12″ binder placed immediately following surgery.Also, it was easier on/off velcro type fabric = helpful for self use.

Snags your clothes! otherwise a good product
I bought this for after abdominal surgery. I needed a binder for short waisted people…this is a perfect size. It is easy to put on myself, just need to concentrate. I wore it all day and it was comfortable. The sad part came when I took off the dress I had been wearing and noticed an odd wrinkle across the tummy. Upon further inspection of the dress, I noticed that the binder had actually snagged the inside of the dress! The dress cannot be worn outside of the house; now I have a house dress. If you buy this, be sure to be mindful what you wear over it. I wear most of the day and all through the night; it’s comfortable as it can be under the circumstances!

Most practical abdominal binder! Best fit!
Ortonyx 6.25″ Abdominal binders have proven to be the best adjusting fit for under or over clothing, before and after a meal.. Lightweight … the strong velcro strip helps you to get the perfect fit each time! Mine is for lower back support with DDD and DJD. Get a black one and a beige one to go with different clothing! Abdominal Binder definitely works.
It shows to wear the binder over a tank, it also works without, if you can keep the Velcro off your skin. I do wish it was 2 inches wider.

Great binder! There’s so many to chose from, I liked the look of this because it didn’t seem overly big… it is very supportive after having several myelograms, and my back wasn’t the same… It helped not only with support, but with easing the back pain I was experiencing, too. Would recommend.

Used this after a lower-abdominal surgery. It felt really nice to have the support/pressure sometimes especially when trying to go for a walk/moving around.Don’t really know how this particular product could be better than others – I guess the velcro held well.
