Nice Baby Monitor and Cameras
We started out with a Blemil unit and 2 cameras and wanted to get 2 more cameras with a different head unit to watch our kids in two other rooms. That way one head unit could be for their rooms when they sleep and the other for when they’re up and playing. Originally got this one and a Firskids set. Ended up sticking withi the Firskids set, read below.If you look in the first picture, the two boxes are for the Blemil and Firskids units. If you can tell the difference, good for you. All this tells me is that these cameras and head units are most likely using the same internals and only varying their casing. You can see in the second image that the setups for the monitors are using the same icons and such. Aside from how to change the volume/brightness, these monitors work the exact same. The image quality looks the exact same. And for the money, their image quality is good. I don’t see a point in paying a lot of money for a fancy camera. Getting cheaper ones like this means I can get more cameras and more viewpoints, or have one that’s easier to travel around with if necessary.The monitors are bright if you want a bright light. Setting up the cameras was easy (they came paired out of the box). And the interface is easy to learn.I got the Firskids set for a dollar less and that’s what I’m going to keep for my second set. Honestly, just go with whichever set is cheaper. And if another brand comes up that looks like these cameras and is a little cheaper, then go with that. These are all likely manufactured from the same place then rebranded. So there really is no reason to be brand loyal here. Still, well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Decent camera for the price
Before this I had a very expensive, name brand camera. It did us well for 4 1/2 years until the antenna snapped off. My son is getting older, so a camera isn’t REALLY necessary anymore, but I found myself still wanting to watch when he first goes down, and early in the morning if I wake up before he does. So I started searching for a replacement when I came across this one. It had (almost) everything I was looking for but was skeptical.. there weren’t a lot of reviews, all 5 stars. Though they are “verified” I have come to not always trust that as I have seen identical “verified” reviews on different products in the past. (Not on this one but like I said, skeptical). I also tried searching for other reviews elsewhere on the internet and didn’t really come up with anything.. but for $70 (on sale) for 2 cameras and large monitor though I figured I would take the chance anyway. Worst case scenario I return it. Best case scenario I got a steal. Well, it has only been a few days now but I thought I would leave an honest review to help others finding themselves in a similar position. If anything changes, I will edit my review. It works, the cameras connected with no problem. The picture quality is a bit fuzzy, especially compared to the name brand one we had for so long, but I can see well enough. The quality kind of reminds me of the pictures you would take on your cell phone in 2006. Clear, but not crisp. Night vision works with similar quality. It works for me, I can see if he’s awake and I can tell if he is ok or not. There is no zoom function, and the picture is the equivalent of the name brand monitor zoomed in. But again, I can see him just fine where I have it set up so thats all that matters to me. But just be warned it will be tricky to set up and have a clear view of the whole room. But as of now those are really the only down sides to this monitor, which don’t really make a difference to me since it does not hinder me in any way from what my intentions are with it. What I am pleasantly surprised about is that there are actually a couple things I like better with this set than the name brand one. The monitor is twice the size, so even though its a little fuzzy I can still clearly see the picture even from a distance (for example, I have it sitting on a counter and I’m on the other side if the kitchen making coffee or something. I can look over and still see hes sleeping, which I couldn’t with the other.) The other day I set up the second one in the living room while I went out to shovel the driveway. Doing the first half I was able to have the monitor sitting on something and I could hear and still see him. As I started the second half, closer to the road I put the monitor in my pocket so I could atleast still hear him. This brings me to the second thing I am impressed about with this monitor. With the name brand one I could barely get out the door outside without losing signal. In fact, the old one was so finicky with signal I would randomly lose it constantly no matter how close or far I was, even before the antenna started to get loose and eventually snapped off, never mind going outside with it (another plus btw, it doesn’t have an external antenna so no worries of this one snapping off! Lol). Not once, even with it in my pocket, not even when I went across the street to clear my mailbox, I did not lose signal. The last thing that surprised me with this monitor is the microphone feature. With my name brand one, if I wanted to talk to him and hit the button it would mute the sound from his room while I was holding it. But I discovered that that is not the case with this one. I can still hear him talking even if I’m holding the microphone button which makes it a little easier to actually have a conversation with him that way if I need to. The range of how far the camera can turn is also impressive and actually exceeds the name brands abilities. This setup works perfect for us and our needs and was exactly what I was looking for. The picture isn’t the best, and how zoomed in it is makes it difficult and sometime impossible to get a full view of a room, but not a deal breaker in the least. The areas that this actually exceeds the more expensive one more than makes up for where it lacks, including it coming with TWO cameras that I can view in a split screen if I choose where as the other only came with one. If you are in a similar position as me, or new parents on a budget, or anywhere in between I would certainly suggest this set up. For the price it can’t be beat. I felt compelled to write this review to try to help others who are as skeptical as I was, and hopefully I have done just that.

Don’t buy this monitor
BEWARE!! This monitor regularly freezes without any warning or noise indication. I noticed it once a couple months after I started using it. Now it is happening multiple times per night. It goes back to normal when you turn it off and on, but you have to recognize the absence of sound to even realize it’s frozen, as it still projects an image of the state the room was in at the time that it froze, i.e. your perfectly sleeping baby, when it fact they may be awake and upset. I bought two cameras, one for my baby’s room and one for my toddler’s, and I always have the monitor switching between the two rooms. When it freezes, it still shows the symbol that it is “switching” every 10 seconds or so, but you have to pay close attention to realize that while the switching symbol regularly comes on the screen, it is actually no longer switching between the cameras. I am buying a new baby monitor, which is super lame after spending $100 on this.

Was mich etwas stört, ist der fehlende USB-Netzanschluss – man muss auf das spezielle Kabel achten, da es nicht so leicht ersetzt werden kann. Insgesamt aber ein sehr gutes Babyphone, das ich empfehlen würde!
