I originally picked up this music stand because I was impressed by its versatile design, but it has quickly become one of my most-used pieces of gear for far more than just sheet music. While it’s marketed as a book or music holder, I’ve found that it makes the absolute perfect portable stand for a tablet or monitor, especially when I’m out camping.The build quality is what stood out to me first. It features a heavy-duty round metal base and a reinforced steel rod that keep the whole setup incredibly stable. I don’t have to worry about it wobbling or tipping over, even when I’m using it on surfaces that aren’t perfectly level. The dark walnut-style wood panel is also a nice touch—it’s large enough to hold a laptop or a thick textbook, and it looks professional enough to blend into a home office or a stage setting.What really sold me, though, is the adjustability. You can change the height significantly—anywhere from about three feet to over four feet tall—and the panel tilts a full 180 degrees. This means I can find the perfect viewing angle whether I’m sitting in a camp chair, standing up to give a presentation, or lounging at home.The safety clips on this stand are exceptional. Wood-grain style single-post music or book stand with a round base.It’s easy to put together, a single screw for the bottom, and the two pipe sections screw together and can be adjusted for height, from about 3′ to 4′.It’s sturdy (can easily hold a couple of books) and reasonably steady considering the base is not especially wide (just under 12″), although the higher you go the more chance there is of bumping it over.It’s classier-looking than my old fold-up flimsy-metal tripod stand, not quite as portable (a bit heavier and doesn’t fold, it needs a bag or box) but makes up for the greater weight by looking good and having a smaller footprint. It also has a clip on the bottom of the tray to help keep papers or an open music folio in place. The tray can be tilted flat or at an angle.I’m mostly using it for sheet music but there are times when it’s handy to have a book open next to the chair without using up desk space and I might also use it for my iPad.

Adjustable Stand
I was really excited to get this floor book stand as I was planning to use it almost as an adjustable mini desk by my bed. The description states that it is adjustable height, which it is, however the shortest setting is still VERY tall. I was planning to have couch/bed height as an option and it is not. This is a lot more like a teaching podium, standing height and not sitting height.It was easy and straightforward to put together. I like that the top portion can be flat like a desk/stand, or you can tilt it for reading books, sheet music, etc. There are 2 small metal arms with soft black tips that you can use to hold your reading material, or they can be folded down flat if you aren’t using the stand for that purpose.It does feel very sturdy and quality material. It is lightweight enough for moving, but heavy enough to feel stable and secure. The Stand is beautiful in color, the black base & stand with dark woodgrain top is elegant for sure. I will see if my church can use it, as it isn’t quite what I need.If you want a versatile podium though, this would be a great item for you.

Upgrade from a music stand for voice-over recording
I love this stand. I’ve been using a traditional musician’s stand for voice-over recordings, and I decided to give the Viozon a try—and I’m really glad I did. It works perfectly for holding scripts and notes hands-free, and it looks much nicer and more professional than the music stand we’ve been using.The height adjustment and 180° tilt make it easy to get the exact angle I need, whether I’m the talent is sitting or standing at the mic. It easily holds books, binders, or a tablet, and the page clips do a great job keeping pages in place without getting in the way.The only downside is that I wish the base were a bit heavier. It’s generally stable, but it can feel slightly wobbly if bumped. That said, it’s still a solid, well-made stand and a big upgrade from a standard music stand.
