Great quality
I bought this planner a few weeks ago after my Hobonichi went missing at a FedEx hub. For almost a month I kept getting told it was “stuck in customs,” only to later find out it was actually lost. So I started researching alternatives and came across the Sunee 2026 planner. It’s similar to the Hobonichi, so choosing it was an easy decision. It arrived in pristine conditions and the delivery was prompt. I recommend it to anyone that is in need of an affordable and great planner. Now I’m ready to dive in and make 2026 the year I take charge.

Great Hobonichi Alternative
Nice quality planner for the price. Love this beige color. Nice faux leather material, doesn’t feel cheap, doesn’t look like it will scratch easily. I was thinking about getting the Hobonichi but I didn’t want a Monday start for the month layouts. This was a great alternative! I also like that it has the ribbon bookmarks and a hardcover. I plan on journaling daily in this on the right side and having my todos on the left. Works for my needs! Excited to start using it.

Cosmetic issues but otherwise nice planner.
Planner seems nice, but there must’ve been a printer mishap. The corners of the first few pages have some extra on the edge. Two of the corners got dinged even though it was in packaging. Took a star because of the cosmetic issues but it seems like a great planner for a full year.

A dupe with buying!
Really really good hobonichi dupe. Great paper feel, annual, monthly and daily is exactly the same. Hard cover is great for my brain. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Looking good so far!
Have not opened it yet. But looks good from the outside…UPDATE 12-10-2026 the binding is a little flimsy. I am a little apprehensive about whether it will hold-up for 12 months. It does not have any pockets so I DYI’d my own, then added Hobonichi month tabs onto the daily section to make it easier to open to the appropriate month. I did not notice, when researching, that it does not have a page between the month’s daily pages for month reviews so I think I will add in my own. It does have 4 extra pages at the back of the planner which I plan use for pen test and some other list. I am glad however, that the main part of the grid on the daily pages is 53 spaces down by 37 spaces across so I have more room for configuring my page layout and writing. Overall, it is a nice alternative to the Hobonichi Cousin if you are not a “weekly” fan, which I am not.

Paper reacts similarly to my hobonichi and so much paper at half the price
I need a sunday start on my monthly pages and was so happy to see a video by Key Lime Ink test the paper in this planner. I need a daily planner that can take most of my fountain pen inks and my lighter tombow markers and this paper passed the test similarly to my hobonichi 2026 weeks sneaker. The paper feels a super tiny bit thicker than my hobonichi paper but it is super smooth and I love that there is so much paper for less than half the price and a Sunday start—which I just didn’t want to change in a super expensive daily planner. I threw my favorite sheening inks at it and they looked amazing. My super damp nib were a little overpowered for both papers and neither could take a huge dollop of ink. My darkest tombow marker did the same thing in both while my lighter ones look pretty good. The sunee paper was nice to write on and everything dried quickly and I didn’t see any shadowing that would make me believe I couldn’t write on both sides of the paper. I did grab my cheapest fountain pen friendly dotted notebook (from walmart) which has much heavier paper — so of course that one performed fine— and this Sunee planner with all its paper and did I mention no feathering! So glad I stumble upon this by accident.

Perfect price point for me to test out A5 size
Definitely a hobonichi dupe, I love my hobonichi weeks, got this to try out for my memory keeping before committing to the more expensive first choice. However I do wish it was not a hard cover, it has already started to crack…
