Excellent product
If I could give this product a higher review, I would. I used it in my kitchen to remove the stickiness from the cabinets, cleaned my Ninja grill and other grills, and any appliance with heavy grease buildup. I cleaned so many areas in my home, including walls and baseboards, and it is now my new best friend. I do not know how I have never owned one. The mop is terrific, too. The entire system works perfectly, and is so easy to use. The cord length is excellent as well.

Helped me conquer Norwegian scabies
I recently ran into some health problems, and after months of being misdiagnosed I finally found a good doctor who figured it out. Norwegian scabies are incredibly difficult to get rid of. After failing treatment a couple times (where I was covering myself with sulfur day after day and cleaning the entire house multiple times a day) I ended up getting this steam mop and credit it as making the difference that finally helped me beat the bugs.The steam that comes out of the mop head on hi gets up to and stays around 85 degrees Celsius after 3 minutes or so. Most mites can not survive temperatures greater than 60 degrees Celsius. Using this tool made my daily cleanings a breeze (actually looked forward to steaming, much more fun than the vacuum and scrubbing), and since I’ve been cleared I’ve found many more uses for it (just today I used the handheld mode to clean my car).The handheld mode is awesome for so many situations, it is unfortunate that the head for handheld mode can not be replaced, but I’ve gotten around that a few different ways:1) Using old (clean) socks, chenille socks work especially well and are actually much easier to load onto the attachment than the stock head.2) Zip tying the less used triangle heads to the attachment (I figured out a way to do this where I can just pop it off and on pretty easily without having to cut/use more zip ties).3) Clamping a microfiber cloth to the attachment.I love how the handheld mode uses the trigger instead of just staying on, so I can get it to just the right temperature to clean more sensitive surfaces like painted drywall (1-5 second bursts as recommended in the manual). I love how light it is, and how easy it is to refill using the supplied measuring container. I use distilled water (as recommended in the manual) from my home distiller and it cleans glass with zero streaking, beautiful. I’ve found this also seems to amplify the cleaning effect of any cleaning chemicals I pretreat the floor with for more stubborn grime, and definitely beats getting down on all fours to scrub the floor with soap and water the old fashioned way.I also got a cheap extension cord so I can reach the entire house from one outlet. The included cord is long enough for most quick jobs and short enough to keep the weight and bulk down. I love how there’s a clip by the handle that keeps the cord conveniently out of my way. I love how I can take off the mop head and use the empty bracket to easily steam our carpets and iron out our rugs. I wash the heads in “sport wash” (the manual recommends gentle detergent) and that seems to keep them scrubbing as well as day one.I very rarely write reviews, but this mop literally changed my life for the better, and things like that are rare.This thing is a real MacGyver’s dream.

User friendly but…
Excellent, user-friendly steam mop. My only complaint is that Shark dropped the ball by not creating a way for it to stand up. I have a large open living area, and when I’m cleaning and need to unplug to go to another outlet, I have to take the mop with me to lean it against the wall. Even with that, it still doesn’t always stay up, and I am always worried it will scrape the wall. It’s also inconvenient for storing the mop.My other complaint is that there is no on/off button! To turn the mop off, you have to unplug it, which is inconvenient. I typically have to walk on the floors I just cleaned when they are still damp, to unplug the mop to turn it off. A big oversight! I’m learning to be more strategic about the process so I don’t have to walk on damp, clean floors, but seriously, what an error in design.Now, aside from that, I love this mop. It heats up quickly, and it’s easy to add more water using the provided container. I find the cord length suitable for my home, but I have a lot of outlets. If you don’t have many outlets, the cord length might be too short.My favorite feature is the reversible, detachable mop heads! So handy when they are all used up and filled with dirt, and believe me, they will be dirty because this mop works so well! I also love the fact that I don’t need to buy a separate floor cleaner. Just let the water heat up, and you won’t be disappointed! I highly recommend this steam mop if the two things I mentioned aren’t an issue for you. I’ve adjusted, but if Shark creates another mop that stands up and has an on/off button, I’d buy another one without hesitation!Don’t forget to buy additional mop heads! You may go through a couple when cleaning because they get dirty fast, and I don’t have kids or pets!Happy Cleaning!

Cleans very well and it’s so easy!
This floor cleaner works so well! It’s amazing that it uses ONLY water to steam clean my wood floor and tiles better than any other cleaner. I can immediately see the difference! Just bought another one for my sister. The only complaint I have is that the package arrived with damaged corners, no outer wrapping, and clearly had been fully opened and then closed again. This was not sold as an “open box” item. But so far, all is well.

Ah-mazing product
This is a great product. When it arrived, the wand part of the steam mop was dented. It didn’t prevent me from using it, but it could definitely get worse over time. I called shark customer service and they registered the product over the phone and mailed me the replacement wand/handle within 2 days. I have used this product to clean my floors and it worked perfectly. I then used some attachments to clean other areas in my home- gas stovetop, inside the oven, shower tile, sinks, etc. great value for this versatile product.

There is no on/off button. There is just stand by mode.
I love this steam mop. I did watch a video on how to use it before I did use it. It does not have an on/off button. But if you put it in standby mode, it quits steaming. You must unplug it to actually turn it off. Be sure and read the directions before you use it. It cleans so well on hardwood floors. I was amazed it is much easier to use than a swiffer.

Love this steamer. My first steamer so I have no other product to compare it to, but it does a great job cleaning. Cord is long which is a bonus. The dirt on the mop cloth after a cleaning on my ceramics is impressive, and tiles have never looked better. (Use the highest steam setting for ceramics). However this model does not have a grout cleaner head, so doesn’t get into the groves for my grout, but I am ok with that.For my hardwood, I have found for it to work best that you need a brand new clean mop cloth after cleaning ceramics (buy extra for yourself separately, you will need them), and put on lowest steam setting. Move quick over wood, and then always rest the steamer on a ceramic area of your home if taking break from hardwood floor cleaning, not on the wood as too much water sitting on hardwood is bad for the wood. I like to buff damp hardwood floor with a separate dry hardwood floor mop, one that I already had, as this takes off the damp haze that might form, which makes the hardwood floor look shiny brilliant! I also use the same technique for my basement’s laminate wood floors, and works really well there as well.I actually love cleaning my floors now and don’t avoid it, lol!

This is a well designed piece of equipment. It is light, easy to use. Today is the second time I used it and did not need the instructions, because everything about it makes sense. I have tile and laminate flooring and need only to use the low steam setting. It is easy to fill with water; it takes about two fillings to do my floors (a larger area may take more, but the unit is easy to turn on and off). The steam starts very quickly once it is turned on. The dirt grip pad goes on very easily and can be flipped when one side gets dirty. The head swivels easily for maneuverability and goes under furniture including the bed. The tiles are shiny and clean when I am done. The handheld steamer is firmly attached, but detaches easily. I used the handheld steamer with the small attachment to clean the stainless steel and glass front of my microwave and gas stove. I also tried out the clothes steam and it works well too.The electrical cord is a great length and I am learning to manage it and hold it out of the way so I don’t get tangled up in it. I appreciate the electric power, however, and wouldn’t trade it for a batter operated unit. Extra dirt grip pads can be purchased, but the one that comes with the unit can be scrubbed up clean as new. I would recommend it for its lightness, ease of use and effectiveness.

I’ve purchased this Shark S3973 for my wife in Singapore. Though the Seller replied the voltage is 210v, it is not. It is 110v. So I have to return it. And the factory box is not even sealed, so there is little trust in the content.Another problem is shipping in Singapore. Many products are simply shipped in the Manufacturer’s box packaging, which is typically dirty or slightly damaged, with the DHL labels slapped right onto the box. This is generally unacceptable and very unprofessional, unlike in America whereby all products are shipped in an additional Amazon box with additional protective materials. I believe Amazon Singapore must do better to grow in Asia.
