I bought five of the units and may have allowed my wife and me to have peace of mind for her. She is handicap and falls at times. Now she has a way to communicate with me when she has no phone with her and need help. Of course, all of the other benefits there also including music, room, two room, communication, having a timer for cooking and laundry and so many other aspects that are a benefit

Decent sound
I saw some reviews that said the refurbished pop didn’t come with a power cord, so I was a little nervous to purchase it, but mine arrived with a power cord. This works well, I don’t notice a difference between the echo dot and the echo pop to be honest. They sound about the same to me, and I’m happy with the quality. If you’re familiar with the echos, you’ll know that you can only connect to one device at a time with Bluetooth, so that’s obnoxious if you use any other music service besides Spotify and maybe a couple others (ex soundcloud is not supported). But this works for what I wanted it for, a cheap replacement for my OG echo dot that was dying. Looks nice, doesn’t take up a lot of room, and has all the functionality of an echo dot that I was expecting.Edited to add an update: my unit randomly oscillates in volume, and that is super obnoxious when it suddenly gets really loud. I’ve learned to turn the volume down and then reset it to my usual volume and that seems to help. Maybe because this is refurbished?
