Super thick and sturdy — wife loves it for Pilates (hoping it holds up long-term)
My wife loves this mat for her Pilates. The thickness is super thick, and it feels very sturdy and supportive — way more comfortable than thinner mats, especially for knees and elbows. It also comes with a strap, which makes it easy to roll up and carry or store.As of right now I don’t have any negatives at all. The only thing I can say is I’m just hoping it lasts and holds up over time, because we plan to use it a lot. So far though, it feels very well-made and we’re happy with it.

An actual cusion for floor exercises.
Most yoga mats are too thin or hard to be considered a cushion. This one is a good one inch thick. Firm but good for old joints to lie on (83 years). Doesn’t stretch, stays in place on carpet. I just used it for PT exercists, hips and shoulders.I didn’t discern any smell. It seems to be high quality

Best Mat I’ve Ever Owned
The thickness of this mat and the density of the foam make this the best mat I’ve ever owned. I love mine so much that I came back and bought another one for my husband. We’ve both been working out for about 37 years, and we’ve gone through tons of workout mats. I will use this one until it wears out (many years down the road) and then buy a new one just like it.At our age, the more cushioning the better for our knees, hips, wrists and shoulders. I’ve been having a lot of wrist pain during plank routines, and this mat helps so much that I can start back up doing workouts I had quit doing due to wrist pain.The large size and extra width of this mat are great for floor-based legwork and mat-based pilates. I wear tennis shoes on this mat and do not “baby” it. I’ve had no issues with cracking.The material is like “memory foam” in that it compacts down some while still supporting the areas where pressure is applied. Then, over the next few minutes after you get off of it, it springs back up to its original flat position.Worth every penny!

Love this mat – very thick, great for doing prenatal stretches. Because of the added cushioning, my joints are feeling so much better. It’s also easy to roll up and store. Absolutely no smell – which is definitely a plus when you’re pregnant and your senses are heightened. High quality and I definitely recommend it.

Comfy and plush but stretchy and kinda stinks
This is a great yoga mat! I love it because it’s plush and very comfy. I can get on my knees or back and not have pain or regret my life choices.The drawbacks for it, which is why it didn’t get 5 stars, is the smell. Out of the package, it has a chemical smell. It does fade some, but if you store it in a small enclosed space (like a locker) it is always there 😖 downward facing dog is much harder when your yoga mat smells like a chemical plant 🤢Another thing to note is that it stretches. I think most yoga mats do, but do not attempt to do burpees on this mat, or other high intensity fast movements because it will stretch and your muscles will have to compensate. Made that mistake once and pulled a muscle in my chest 😒But overall, it rolls up nicely, it’s comfy, and it does the job with extra padding!Might want to get a different strap for it tho, as you can’t carry it by the strap since the mat is kinda heavy (for a yoga mat that is) and the elastic just stretches and your mat ends up falling. So either get a new strap (one without elastic) or do what I do, and don’t carry it by the strap. It will hold it together okay, you just can’t carry it by just the strap alone. But honestly, no big deal.I you want a thick yoga mat, this one is great, just a few minor things to keep in mind!

Excellent thickness, I’m done with those silly thin yoga mats for floor exercises. This one actually cushions my joints and makes it far easier to get through a pilates set. You don’t have to be in pain when you work out! Imagine!It’s also really great for camping or sleepovers. I have a floor bed on account of bad joints, if they made mats like this that were a meter wide/twin bed size, I’d use it as part of my mattress setup full time. It’s great.It does have a kind of sulfury rubber smell when you first open it, but leave it standing loosely rolled or open somewhere for a week or so. The smell dissipates. It’s just the type of material, and it’s an easy trade off for having a great mat.

If you are purchasing this in Egypt, please know that it is not 1″ thick at all. I was disappointed to find the it iis much thinner. I purchased it because of the 4.6 star reviews, but Iʻd guess most of those are for US purchases. I would return if the return “process” here in Egypt wasnʻt so horrible.

The mat arrived 0.6cm thick, not 1cm.I wanted blue, but it was a very deep purple…The mat isn’t pretty or thick at all.I realized once again that Amazon doesn’t deliver products properly.Amazon’s reputation is a shame.
