I have worn the Blackview 007 for a solid week and, to my surprise, it has not put a foot wrong. The square HD touchscreen really bursts with colour, the aluminium frame feels both sturdy and feather-light, and the manufacturer even includes a spare silicone strap, which is handy when the children redecorate the first one with yoghurt. The health sensors are spot-on. Heart-rate and SpO₂ readings mirror the professional monitors on my hospital ward, and the step counter gives me no excuse to skip a post-shift run. The sleep tracker has also proved, beyond doubt, that the dog occupies more mattress than I do.Notifications appear the instant they arrive, so I can glance at messages while stirring cake batter without smearing flour over the screen. There is a cheerful assortment of watch faces too, meaning I can match it to either scrubs or trainers depending on the day.Battery life is another highlight. Five days of fairly heavy use pass before the magnetic charger is required, and a quick top-up is finished before my brownies are out of the oven.Robust build, reliable sensors, a vivid display, and marathon-length battery life make this a cracking piece of wrist technology that keeps up with a hectic schedule.

Smart, sturdy and more useful than I expected, the Blackview 007 has settled on my wrist without any fuss. The 1.83-inch TFT screen sits in a light aluminium frame, and the box includes two quick-release straps, a soft silicone one and a tidy woven option. You get heart rate and SpO2 tracking, steps, sleep, Bluetooth calling, notifications, a magnetic charger and a decent spread of watch faces. The screen stays readable in bright daylight on Bennachie, colours look clean, and the menus scroll without stuttering. Vibration alerts cut through nicely when the children are winding up the collie. Heart rate sits within a couple of beats of my chest strap on the turbo trainer, and step counts tally well with my phone. Sleep tends to overestimate deep sleep. Calls on the wrist are handy while I am wrangling the lawnmower cable. The microphone is fine indoors, less so in an Aberdeen breeze. The app syncs reliably, though it asks for a few permissions, and you cannot reply to messages.Battery life lands around four to five days for me and it charges briskly. It shrugs off rain and handwashing, but I would check the specification before swimming. For features, build and comfort, it represents good value and a very capable daily watch.

In terms of size/form factor, it’s just a bit larger than my 38mm Apple Watch Series 4.It comes with a silicone band and a material band – both of which are comfortable but I do prefer the silicone band,The watch itself feels very nice to hold and look at! Nothing too premium but it is good quality. The screen is bright enough for indoor use and in the shade but not that great for direct sunlight use. The display is not OLED quality, but it’s good enough considering the price.Performance is OK, it’s not the super smooth 120FPS sort of feeling when using it like on high end smart watches, and more like 30 FPS when scrolling through the different menus. It uses “Da Fit” app is straight forward enough and connects very easily to watch – initial pairing took less than a minute. I already have an older watch in use with this app, but it does not support multiple watches so I had to remove the original watch before adding in this one. The app contains a lot of useful health data that you can sync from your watch. As well as MANY watch faces to choose from, lots of variations so you may end up spending hours deciding which one you like. There’s quite a lot of tracking that may be quite useful – steps, sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, stress, and weight – perfect for taking control of your health!Back to the watch, it’s able to receive notifications from your phone with handy sound effects, though it also has vibration for silent notifications with strength you can adjust. There’s was no price displayed at the time of writing so it’s hard to say if it’s good value for money or not, but I’d say anything below the £40 is totally fine.
