Operated by disposable batteries only
I didn’t read all the specs before buying and I assumed it would be USB-rechargable like most things are these days. It’s battery operated and doesn’t work with rechargeable batteries (I realized when I finally read the reviews when it didn’t turn on). I’m not going to buy disposable batteries to be able to use this. I returned it.

Projection part needs improved upon
I bought this for my 8 month old granddaughter. My daughter told me it’s very cute and pretty and loves all the functions. The sounds are great and relaxing. The only issue she has is the display projection blurs and the stars look like “blobs” unless the device is placed very close to the ceiling. So, she can’t just set it on the nightstand. She has wanted it to be able to sit on a nightstand or dresser to double as a decorative piece. She said she’s going to have to build something or hang a white sheet or something from the ceiling for it to protect onto, as even the dresser is not close enough. She even tried the end table to project on the wall, but the angle didn’t work right. She said she’d give it 5 stars if the projection was improved. She said she doesn’t want to return it, as it is cute and the sounds work great. Even if she can’t get the projection to work better, she loves it as a sound machine. From what she described, that alone is worth the $19 I paid. Buyer just be aware of the projection issue.

I like this little light. It only has three buttons: light, sound, and cry detector. The cry detector worked and the lights came on with the heartbeat sound. The lights are nice with a variety of different colors – not too bright, just a soft light display. The only downside was the noise making. There is no volume button and I find that the sound is very soft. The music and nature sounds are pretty much identical so it really only feels like 2 sound choices. For the price, it’s good and is a cute looking device.

We have this in our daughter’s nursery with “cry mode” turned on. It hears when she’s upset and turns on with the stars and heartbeat sound. She loves looking at it! Great purchase.
