This pedometer doesn’t give accurate steps plus you have to hand held it in order to get the reading I really didn’t like it it wasn’t what I expected.

Simple and straightforward
If you are looking for a simple pedometer that you can clip on to the lower half of your body, or even a backpack, this one will fit the bill. It is very straightforward, and does not require any external components (like a smart phone or app). It has a clock, a step-counter, a stride length setting so that it can measure distance traveled, and a weight setting, so that it can roughly measure calories expended.It is very light, and it is designed to be clipped to a belt loop or carabiner and read while hanging (which is why the screen appears upside down in the pic). Compared to my wrist Garmin step counter, it counts about 10% more steps, which doesn’t surprise me, as the Garmin relies on the swing of my arm, which doesn’t happen if I am mowing the lawn, or carrying something. Walking on a NordicTrac treadmill for 3.1 miles, the pedometer measured the walk at 3.08 miles, which is close enough.There are two features I wish it did have: a backlight for the screen so it could be read in lowlight conditions, and the ability to automatically reset your steps at a particular hour (like midnight). If you want a daily step total (instead of a rolling weekly value), you have to either do a bit of bookkeeping and math each day or manually reset the step count. It isn’t a big deal, but it seems like something that could have been programmed in given that it has an internal clock.But for the price it seems accurate enough to be worth having if you are tired of constantly having to have a phone on you in order to get a simple daily step count. I like it.

Awful, inaccurate. Clocked a walk, during which I actually counted my steps. Pedometer was high by hundreds. Comparing with my smart watch, an Apple SE, it was off by over a thousand steps after a couple hours. Don’t waste your money.
